Remote Programming

BCCP‘s after school program at College Prep has gone virtual! Without missing a beat, a Google Classroom was created to continue offering academic, career and social–emotional support to student participants. As students moved to online remote learning, we made adjustments to the kind of programming we offered and how we offered it. Hosting weekly live Google Meet conferences to discuss feelings, frustrations and fun, our participants engage in a virtual safe space. We are continuing with our work in Project Peace, recording vlogs and voiceovers and taking still photos describing our quarantine experience. Our teaching artist, Nicholas McMillian, will splice the contributed world together to create a short film for the DYCD Film Festival at the beginning of next month. We’re helping our interns continue their internships remotely using our partnership with Brooklyn Design League. Throughout this quarantine and remote learning, for as long as it lasts, BCCP will support College Prep students however necessary.
